Basic operation of cleaning machines
A consistent start and stop routine helps operators work safely, achieve an even cleaning result and avoid unnecessary wear.
Check before starting
First walk around the machine and check that brushes, squeegee blades, hoses and safety parts are correctly fitted. Also check that the tanks are clean and the battery is sufficiently charged.
- Check for visible damage and leaks
- Remove loose objects from the work zone
- Use the right cleaning agent and dosing level
Set the machine correctly
Select a work programme that suits the floor, the degree of soiling and the available drying time. Start with moderate water dosing and brush pressure and only increase when the result calls for it.
- Match driving speed to the soiling
- Avoid excessive water or chemical dosing
- Check that the squeegee makes full contact
Clean efficiently and safely
Work in calm, overlapping lanes and keep sufficient distance from racking, doors and pedestrians. Avoid sharp steering with the brush deck lowered and watch for changing floor conditions.
- Plan a logical route without unnecessary turns
- Do not leave wet zones unattended
- Stop on unusual noise, vibration or error messages
Finishing after use
Empty and rinse the dirty-water tank, clean filters and squeegee blades and park the machine at the designated charging area. Report damage or reduced performance immediately so small problems do not grow into downtime.
- Rinse tanks and drain hose
- Clean brushes, pads and squeegee blades
- Charge according to the battery instructions
