Safety guidelines
Practical safety guidelines for operators, charging areas, batteries, cleaning agents and safe working in active business environments.
Prepare the work zone and operator
Before starting, check where pedestrians, vehicles, doors, slopes and vulnerable objects are. Keep the work zone clear and use personal protective equipment appropriate to the task and environment.
- Remove loose objects and mark wet zones
- Wear safety shoes and the prescribed workwear
- Only let instructed operators use the machines
Use batteries and charging areas safely
Charge only in the designated, dry and ventilated charging area with the prescribed charger. Keep the zone free of ignition sources and never continue to use damaged cables, plugs or batteries.
- Switch the machine off and park it stably
- Check cables, connectors and ventilation before charging
- Isolate a leaking, deformed or unusually hot battery
Dose cleaning agents correctly
Read the label and the safety data sheet before use. Never mix products without explicit instruction and store agents only in correctly labelled containers.
- Use gloves and eye protection where prescribed
- Respect dosing, water temperature and material compatibility
- Clean up spilled chemicals immediately according to the site procedure
Stop in the event of faults and incidents
Stop immediately in the event of damage, leaks, smoke, unusual heat, strange noises or unpredictable behaviour. Switch the machine off safely, prevent further use and report the deviation to the supervisor.
- Never bypass safeguards, sensors or emergency stops
- Cordon off the area while a risk remains
- Only put the machine back into use after inspection and release
