Description
DRX Beetle 2.0 – autonomous sweeping robot for outdoors and harsh conditions
The DRX Beetle 2.0 (Full Scenario Edition) is the successor to the Beetle. Where the first Beetle was mainly meant for warehouses and industry, the 2.0 is designed for outdoor environments: uneven surfaces, mixed pedestrian and vehicle traffic and changing weather. It sweeps fine dust as well as gravel and leaves.
What is new compared to the first Beetle?
- 800 mm sweeping width, according to the manufacturer around 10% more efficient than earlier versions
- Large 142 mm roller brush for everything from fine dust to gravel and leaves
- WeatherSense Guard: real-time rain detection
- Protected design with IP54 rating for outdoor use
- Multiple LiDAR sensors (including rear 2D LiDAR) and 360° vision, with detection of moving vehicles
Which environments is it for?
- Industrial estates and logistics yards
- Car parks and parking garages, including underground
- Retail squares, pavements and urban parks
- Loading zones and buildings with both indoor and outdoor routes
Working together with scrubber-dryer robots
The DRX Omnie (indoor scrubbing) and the DRX Beetle 2.0 (outdoor sweeping) can work together and then share map, zone and route data in real time. This makes the Beetle 2.0 a good fit for a hybrid setup with a sweeping robot and a scrubber-dryer robot. Read more in our explanation of hybrid automation.
